CENTRE UNIFORM IS COMPULSORY and must be worn at all competition days. Uniforms can be purchased at registration or any Centre competition day. You can download a current Price List (30kB pdf)

FOOTWEAR IS COMPULSORY for all events. Shoes with metal spikes are optional and can be worn from the U9 age group. Spikes of various type and size can be purchased from our uniform shop on any Centre competition day.

Safety is very important when an athlete wishes to compete in 'spiked shoes' eg. in a sprint event, an athlete must carry their shoes to their event, put their shoes on at the start, and removed them at the finish line after the race.

THE HORNSBY ATHLETE'S FOOT
We welcome The Hornsby Athlete's Foot as an active supporter of HDLAC.

The Athlete's Foot at Hornsby has a whole range of great shoes for little A's - Cross-trainers, Waffles, Spikes, High Jump, Long/Triple Jump, Javelin, Throwing, Sprinting, Cross-country, Middle and Long distance shoes. Staff from The Athlete's Foot will be in attendance on our registration day and on Saturday mornings during the first few weeks of competition with advice and to assist athletes with footware selection. The Athlete's Foot is located at Shop 1082, Westfield Shoppingtown Hornsby, and can be contacted on 9987‑1444.

REGISTRATION NUMBER, AGE PATCH AND IGA EMBROIDED PATCH: These items must be attached to the front of all Centre uniforms before an athlete competes. The sponsor's name and red line surrounding numbers on the registration and age patch must be visible and are NOT to be cut off.

LANSW REGULATIONS

Badges and patches
Athletes and parents should note that correct placement of Registration Numbers, Age Patches, IGA Patches and Centre Numbers (the '4' on the back of the uniform) is a LANSW requirement. Incorrect placement of any of these patches and badges will result in an athlete not being allowed to compete in a Zone, Region or State Championship event. This requirement applies to State Relays, State Multi Event, State Track & Field Championships, Trans Tasman and State Cross Country Run & Road Walks events.

Footwear
U9-U17 athletes competing in championship events may wear spikes. However, if the championship event in on a tartan track, then spikes, if worn, MUST be tartan spikes. This applies at all competitions at Narrabeen Academy of Sport (Zone and Region) and SOPAC (State Relays and State Track & Field Championships). U7-U8 athletes are not permitted to wear spikes and athletes in these age groups should wear cross-trainers or waffle shoes.
