CENTRE UNIFORM AND DRESS CODE
UNIFORM: Hornsby District athletes must wear our Centre uniform at all athletic competitions. Uniforms can be purchased at registration or any Centre competition day. You can download a current Price List (30kB pdf)
FOOTWEAR is compulsory for all events. Shoes with metal spikes are optional and can be worn from the U9 age group. Spikes of various type and size can be purchased from our uniform shop on any Centre competition day. Events in which 'spikes' can be worn are in a laned track event where an athlete remains in an individual lane from start to finish, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump and Javelin.
Safety is very important when an athlete wishes to compete in 'spiked shoes' eg. in a sprint event, an athlete must carry their shoes to their event, put their shoes on at the start, and removed them at the finish line after the race.
REGISTRATION NUMBER, AGE PATCH AND IGA EMBROIDED PATCH: These items must be attached to the front of all Centre uniforms before an athlete competes. The sponsor's name and red line surrounding numbers on the registration and age patch must be visible and are not to be cut off.

If you have any queries regarding the positions of these required patches, ask any committee member and we will gladly assist you. The correct placement of these patches can be seen in the above photographs.
REGISTRATION NUMBER to be attached in the middle front, just below logo on the Singlet, or at the lowest point on the Crop Top. |
AGE PATCH is to be attached on the upper left front of the Singlet. With the Crop Top the Age Patch is to be attached at the lowest point on front left leg of the lycra pants or athletic shorts. |
IGA PATCH is to be attached on the upper right side of the singlet or crop top. |
Athletes competing outside Centre competitions must have a CENTRE NUMBER 4 attached to the back of their singlet, crop top, lycra pants or athletic shorts, as seen in the photographs. |
COMPRESSION PANTS: Athletes can wear 'above the knee' compression pants under their Centre uniform lycra pant or athletic short when they compete. If an athlete competes at competitions other than at Centre, the compression shorts must be coloured black with black stitching only.
