Little Athletics is the starting place for many athletes. Our 3-4 year olds enjoy a weekly Tiny Tots program on a Saturday morning alongside their parents, learning fundamental run, jump and throw skills. From age 5 children particpate in weekly events on a Saturday and receive instruction from age managers, coaches and key officials.
Our Philosophy
Our aim for athletes in this age range is for them to have fun, learn fundamental movement skills and make friends. Success is increased when parents get involved in their children's sport and we offer a number of ways for parent participation - from volunteer roles to joining our Masters team.
Training and Competitions
Skill development is achived on a Saturday morning, where athletes come along and have fun learning and competing with their age groups each week.
Additional training is available during Term 4 and Term 1 on a Monday and Thursday afternoon. See training tab for more details.
Additional competition opportunities exist at Zone and Regional Championships as well as relay events throughout the summer. Keep an eye on the Events tab for this information.
Community and Collaboration
Little Athletics is reliant on parent volunteers, and children gain the most when their parents are actively involved in their sport. Parents are required to collect a duty lanyard every Saturday to assist with a task. No experience is required.
